Court House Creek Falls

Kiesee Falls, Chestnut Falls, Courthouse Falls
Pisgah National Forest

Off State Rd. 215 North of Balsam Grove, turn east on FS Rd 140 just south of a bridge, drive 1.4 mi, at a right bend in the road there is a very high falls (#1) on the left across the creek. Continue to mile1.9 and there is a water slide (#2) on the left. Hence to mile 2.1 at a sharp left switch back there is a park area, this is Kiesee Creek, Kiesee Falls (#3) a 20 ft. fall, is a hike of 0.5 mi, upstream (very rough). Continuing on FS Rd.140 up to a gated trail on the right, Chestnut Ridge Trail leads to Chestnut Falls (#4)  a 25 ft  fall .75 mi. up trail. Continuing on FS Rd 140 to mile 3.0, pass bridge over Courthouse Creek to a  park area for Courthouse Falls (#5) a 45Ft. fall. The trail starts on the west side going back down stream, a 0.2 mi. hike, go past the falls to a trail switchback on the left to get to the bottom.
